First, you have to become a member. That means completing and signing the membership agreement above and sending it with full payment or a deposit of at least 10% of the total share cost to NYCCAH to secure a spot at the CSA. You DO NOT have to pay a deposit if you are paying with food stamps/SNAP benefits.
Membership means that you will come to the distribution site each week for 22 weeks to pick up your share and fulfill your volunteer requirements. This is a requirement for all of our members. Remember, the CSA can only functions if it is a combined effort of all the members!
Second, payments are due before distribution begins in June. This helps the farmer cover his costs early in the season, so please note the payment due date on the membership agreement and send in your payment. If you are paying as a low-income member, you will not be required to complete payment before the beginning of the season.
