Becoming a member of the Bronx CSA can costs less than purchasing your produce from a grocery store. A sliding scale, based upon your income level, determines the exact cost of membership. Payment is expected prior to the start of the season unless you are using food stamps.
Share Cost for the 2012 Bronx CSA Season:
Income above $50,000
Full share —– $485
Half Share —– $240
Income between $35,000 and $50,000
Full share ——– $440
Half share ——– $220
Income between $25,000 and $35,000
Full share ———- $365
Half Share ———- $180
Income below $25,000
Full share ———– $295
Half Share ———– $145
Snap Benefit (Food Stamp) Share Cost
Full share ———– $120
Half Share ———– $60
For a member with income below $35,000, a deposit of 10% of the full cash payment must be made upon completing and signing the membership agreement. Payment of any amount due after the deposit can be paid in full or made in equal amounts each pick up day.
If you are paying for shares with SNAP benefits, no deposit is required and payment is made at the weekly pick ups.
